Shipping policy

Zicana Boutique Shipping, Processing, and Pickup Policy

This Shipping, Processing, and Pickup Policy applies to all Zicana Boutique orders, quotes, invoices, sales orders, checkout transactions, payment requests, pickups, releases, deliveries, shipments, freight arrangements, and related logistics. This Policy supplements and is incorporated into Zicana Boutique’s Terms of Service and Terms of Sale, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, sales orders, invoices, quotes, payment requests, pickup documents, delivery documents, bills of lading, and other transaction documents.

By placing an order, approving a quote, submitting payment, arranging pickup, authorizing release, accepting delivery, signing a delivery document, signing a pickup document, signing a bill of lading, receiving material, or otherwise proceeding with a transaction, Customer agrees to this Policy.

1. Shipping, Processing, and Handling Charges

Zicana Boutique shipping, processing, and handling charges are intended to compensate Zicana Boutique for order processing, logistics coordination, material handling, packing, wrapping, palletizing, crating when applicable, insurance coordination where available, carrier coordination, transfer coordination, shipment preparation, release coordination, customer service, and delivery or pickup administration.

Shipping, processing, handling, crating, delivery, transfer, carrier, fuel, storage, appointment, liftgate, limited access, waiting time, redelivery, and related logistics charges may vary based on product type, quantity, size, weight, dimensions, destination, delivery method, pickup location, release location, carrier availability, receiving requirements, and special handling requirements.

Shipping, processing, handling, crating, delivery, freight, and related logistics charges are nonrefundable unless Zicana Boutique expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

2. Shipping Costs

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, quote, invoice, sales order, checkout page, or written transaction document, shipping charges are primarily based on destination zip code, quantity, material weight, product dimensions, product fragility, crate requirements, pallet requirements, carrier availability, delivery method, access conditions, and whether the shipment is going to a fabricator, installer, commercial facility, freight terminal, warehouse, residence, or job site.

Additional charges may apply for residential delivery, liftgate service, limited access delivery, inside delivery, appointment delivery, job site delivery, redelivery, reconsignment, waiting time, storage, special equipment, return freight, address changes, unsafe delivery conditions, missed appointments, refused delivery, incomplete delivery information, missing unloading equipment, or additional labor required to complete delivery.

3. Shipping Insurance and Carrier Coverage

When Zicana Boutique arranges shipping through its approved logistics partners, shipments are generally arranged with carrier insurance, declared value coverage, or other shipping protection where available and applicable. Any insurance or declared value coverage is subject to the carrier’s terms, limitations, exclusions, claim procedures, inspection requirements, documentation requirements, and approval.

Insurance or carrier coverage does not waive Customer’s obligation to inspect material immediately upon delivery, note visible damage before signing, preserve packaging, provide photographs, provide delivery documents, and submit timely written notice.

If Customer, Customer’s fabricator, installer, contractor, designer, builder, freight broker, carrier, driver, or any other third party arranges pickup, release, transportation, or delivery outside of Zicana Boutique arranged shipping services, Zicana Boutique is not responsible for loss, damage, breakage, delay, improper handling, loading, unloading, securing, transport, storage, delivery, insurance claims, or carrier claims after release or pickup.

4. Shipping Origin and Release Locations

Orders may ship from, be transferred from, or be released from Zicana Boutique facilities, supplier warehouses, distributor locations, slab galleries, freight terminals, fabrication shops, carrier terminals, third party warehouses, or other approved release locations. Although many orders may ship from New York, Customer acknowledges that material may ship from or be released from other locations depending on product availability, brand, supplier, distributor, inventory location, freight routing, and logistics requirements.

5. Domestic and International Shipping

Zicana Boutique ships within the United States where service is available and commercially practical. Certain products, destinations, delivery types, or receiving conditions may not be eligible for standard shipping.

For international shipping, Customer must contact Zicana Boutique Client Services before placing an order. International shipments may be subject to additional freight, customs, duties, taxes, brokerage charges, documentation requirements, import requirements, restrictions, delays, and destination country obligations. Customer is responsible for all applicable customs duties, taxes, import fees, brokerage charges, documentation requirements, and compliance obligations unless otherwise agreed in writing by Zicana Boutique.

6. Delivery Timeline and Lead Times

Most eligible slab orders are prepared for shipment within approximately 1 to 2 weeks after order acceptance, payment clearance, product availability confirmation, release approval, receipt of required information, and completion of any required paperwork. This timeline is an estimate only and may vary based on product availability, supplier release, distributor release, transfer requirements, fabrication, crating, packing, carrier availability, weather, customs, port conditions, labor delays, customer delays, payment holds, missing documents, or other circumstances outside Zicana Boutique’s reasonable control.

Zicana Boutique may provide shipping confirmation or logistics updates when available. Delivery dates, pickup dates, shipping dates, transfer dates, arrival dates, carrier appointment dates, and lead times are estimates only unless expressly guaranteed in writing by Zicana Boutique.

Zicana Boutique is not responsible for project delays, contractor charges, installation delays, idle labor, missed deadlines, loss of use, lost profits, liquidated damages, hotel charges, storage by others, reinstallation costs, removal costs, fabrication delay costs, or other indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages caused by shipping, delivery, supplier, carrier, logistics, pickup, release, or transit delays.

7. Shipping Companies and Carriers

Zicana Boutique works with third party logistics providers, freight carriers, insured carriers, specialty carriers, delivery partners, and other independent service providers depending on material type, destination, weight, size, packaging, and receiving requirements.

Carriers and logistics providers are independent third parties and are not employees, agents, partners, or subcontractors of Zicana Boutique. Zicana Boutique is not responsible for carrier delays, carrier errors, missed appointments, road conditions, weather delays, terminal delays, equipment issues, handling errors, or acts or omissions of third party carriers except to the extent required by applicable law.

Carrier assignments and freight routing are at Zicana Boutique’s discretion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Delivery Location

Zicana Boutique may ship material directly to a fabricator, installer, contractor, commercial receiving facility, freight terminal, warehouse, slab gallery, job site, residence, or other approved receiving location.

For natural stone slabs, quartz slabs, sintered stone slabs, and large format porcelain slabs, delivery to a qualified professional fabricator, installer, warehouse, or commercial receiving facility is strongly recommended and may be required. Zicana Boutique may refuse, delay, reroute, or require additional confirmation for any shipment if the delivery location is not suitable, safe, accessible, properly equipped, or capable of receiving the material.

Zicana Boutique Client Services may assist Customer in locating a fabrication partner, installer, or receiver. Any fabricator, installer, contractor, carrier, receiver, or third party recommended, introduced, listed, or referred by Zicana Boutique is independent. Customer is solely responsible for selecting, hiring, supervising, verifying, and paying any third party.

9. Cut to Size, Custom, and Crated Orders

Cut to size orders, custom orders, modified materials, fabricated items, furniture, decor, fragile items, and certain slabs may be shipped in custom wooden crates or other protective packaging based on the dimensions, weight, fragility, and handling requirements of the material. Crating requirements and charges vary based on product type, size, weight, destination, carrier requirements, and handling requirements.

Once a cut to size order, custom order, fabricated item, modified item, special order, customer selected item, or customer approved item enters production, sourcing, reserving, allocation, transfer, crating, packing, shipping preparation, release, or fulfillment, it may not be canceled, returned, exchanged, refunded, or credited unless Zicana Boutique expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

10. Natural Stone, Quartz, Sintered Stone, and Large Format Porcelain Deliveries

Natural stone slabs, quartz slabs, sintered stone slabs, and large format porcelain slabs are heavy, fragile, and require professional handling. These materials are generally shipped to a fabrication shop, installation shop, warehouse, commercial receiving facility, slab gallery, freight terminal, or other approved location capable of safely receiving and unloading the material.

The receiving facility must have proper unloading equipment, which may include a forklift, slab clamp, A frame, pallet jack, trained personnel, sufficient labor, safe driveway access, dock access, and clear access for the delivery vehicle.

Some large format porcelain slabs may be delivered directly to a job site only if the site is properly equipped and approved in advance. A licensed contractor or qualified receiving party must be present at the time of delivery. Customer must contact Zicana Boutique Client Services before placing an order to confirm job site delivery eligibility and receiving requirements.

11. Receiving Requirements

Customer or Customer’s receiving party is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is safe, accessible, open, staffed, and properly equipped at the scheduled delivery time.

The receiver must have the equipment, labor, access, authority, and training required to inspect, sign for, unload, protect, store, and accept the material. If the delivery location is inaccessible, unsafe, closed, unprepared, missing required equipment, missing authorized personnel, or unable to receive the shipment, Customer is responsible for redelivery fees, waiting time, storage charges, carrier charges, return freight, reconsignment charges, additional labor charges, and related costs.

Deliveries designated as inside delivery, when available and approved, are limited to an accessible first area such as a garage, loading area, receiving area, storage unit, or common receiving location without stairs, restricted access, narrow paths, unsafe surfaces, or other impediments. Inside delivery does not include installation, placement, unpacking, fabrication, carrying material through a residence, moving material upstairs, or special handling unless expressly agreed in writing.

12. Inspection Before Signing

Customer, fabricator, installer, contractor, receiver, driver, or other authorized representative must inspect all merchandise immediately upon delivery and before signing any delivery receipt, bill of lading, packing slip, manifest, warehouse release, supplier release, distributor release, or carrier document.

Before signing, the receiving party must verify pallet count, crate count, box count, slab count, visible condition, packaging condition, labels, product identity, and any visible damage, shortage, breakage, discrepancy, or nonconformity.

Visible damage, shortage, breakage, incorrect material, packaging damage, missing items, crate damage, pallet damage, or discrepancy must be clearly noted in writing on the delivery receipt, bill of lading, manifest, or receiving document before signing. The receiving party must also take clear photographs of the product, packaging, crate, pallet, label, truck, and damage.

A signed and unmarked delivery receipt, bill of lading, packing slip, manifest, pickup receipt, warehouse release, supplier release, distributor release, or carrier document may be treated as confirmation that the material was received complete and in acceptable condition.

13. Concealed Damage and Delivery Claims

For shipments arranged through Zicana Boutique approved shipping services, Zicana Boutique may assist with a freight claim when damage is timely reported, properly documented, and eligible under the applicable carrier, insurance, or declared value process.

To preserve a shipping damage claim, Customer or the receiving party must complete all of the following:

Inspect all material immediately upon delivery and before signing.

Note visible damage, shortage, discrepancy, crate damage, pallet damage, packaging damage, or box count discrepancy on the delivery receipt, bill of lading, manifest, or carrier document before signing.

Take clear photographs of the material, packaging, crate, pallet, labels, delivery documents, truck, and all damage.

Preserve the product, packaging, crate, pallet, and labels.

Notify Zicana Boutique in writing within 24 hours for visible damage.

Notify Zicana Boutique in writing within 48 hours for concealed damage.

Provide all documents, photographs, descriptions, and information required by Zicana Boutique, the carrier, insurer, or claims administrator.

Failure to inspect, note damage, photograph damage, preserve packaging, or provide timely written notice may result in denial of the claim. If a claim is denied because Customer or Customer’s representative failed to inspect, note damage, preserve packaging, or provide timely notice, Customer is responsible for all replacement costs, freight, labor, and related costs.

If a transit damage claim is properly documented and approved through the applicable carrier, insurance, or declared value process, Zicana Boutique may, at its discretion and subject to claim approval, assist with replacement, repair, return coordination, credit, refund, or reimbursement limited to the amount approved or recovered through the claim process unless Zicana Boutique expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

14. Natural Characteristics Are Not Shipping Damage

Natural stone may include pits, fissures, fills, resin, mesh backing, veins, open veins, dry seams, mineral deposits, shade movement, tonal variation, surface variation, oxidation, fossil markings, chips, inclusions, and other natural characteristics. These are inherent characteristics of natural material and are not shipping damage unless separately confirmed in writing by Zicana Boutique and approved by the applicable supplier, manufacturer, carrier, insurer, or claims administrator as covered damage.

Quartz, porcelain, sintered stone, and tile may include lot variation, batch variation, calibration variation, nominal size variation, texture variation, finish variation, edge variation, and manufacturer tolerance variation. These are not shipping damage unless separately confirmed in writing by Zicana Boutique and approved by the applicable supplier, manufacturer, carrier, insurer, or claims administrator as covered damage.

15. Responsibility After Delivery

Once material is delivered, inspected, accepted, signed for, unloaded, picked up, released, or placed in the custody of Customer, Customer’s fabricator, installer, contractor, carrier, receiver, driver, warehouse, freight terminal, or other authorized representative, responsibility for the material transfers to Customer.

Zicana Boutique is not responsible for damage, breakage, loss, theft, handling, storage, fabrication, installation, cutting, sealing, modification, transport, weather exposure, job site damage, misuse, improper unloading, improper storage, improper securing, or acts or omissions of third parties after delivery, pickup, release, signing, unloading, or acceptance.

16. Fabricator, Installer, Contractor, or Receiver Damage

If a fabricator, installer, contractor, receiver, carrier, driver, or other third party damages material after delivery, pickup, inspection, acceptance, release, unloading, or signing, Customer and the responsible third party are responsible for the damage.

Zicana Boutique is not responsible for replacement costs, labor, fabrication costs, installation costs, removal costs, reinstallation costs, repair costs, delays, project interruption, lost profits, loss of use, or consequential damages caused by a fabricator, installer, contractor, receiver, carrier, driver, or other third party.

Zicana Boutique may assist Customer in locating replacement material when available, but matching slabs, lots, batches, shades, veining, finishes, sizes, or production runs cannot be guaranteed.

17. In Store Pickup, Will Call Pickup, Third Party Pickup, and Pickup Instructions

Customer may be permitted to pick up certain products from a Zicana Boutique location, supplier location, distributor location, warehouse, slab gallery, freight terminal, fabrication shop, carrier terminal, or other approved release location.

Pickup must be scheduled in advance and must be completed in accordance with all pickup instructions issued by Zicana Boutique, the supplier, distributor, warehouse, slab gallery, freight terminal, carrier terminal, or release location. Customer is responsible for confirming the pickup appointment, pickup address, pickup hours, order number, release number, required paperwork, contact person, loading requirements, vehicle requirements, and any special handling requirements before arrival.

Customer must provide a qualified driver, proper vehicle, proper equipment, straps, padding, racks, A frames, clamps, sufficient labor, and safe handling procedures appropriate for the material. Customer is responsible for ensuring that the pickup party is qualified, authorized, insured where applicable, and capable of safely inspecting, signing for, loading, securing, transporting, unloading, storing, fabricating, and installing the material.

Zicana Boutique may refuse or delay release if the pickup vehicle, equipment, personnel, loading method, authorization, paperwork, or handling method appears unsafe, unsuitable, incomplete, unauthorized, or inconsistent with the material’s handling requirements.

Before pickup is completed, Customer or Customer’s representative must inspect the material, verify the order, verify the count, verify the visible condition, verify the labels, verify the product identity, and note any visible damage, shortage, discrepancy, or nonconformity in writing on the pickup document, warehouse release, supplier release, distributor release, packing slip, bill of lading, or other release document before signing.

Once material is made available, released, signed for, loaded, removed, picked up, or accepted by Customer or Customer’s representative, title, custody, possession, inspection responsibility, fulfillment responsibility, and risk of loss transfer to Customer, unless otherwise stated in writing by Zicana Boutique. Customer acknowledges that receipt, release, pickup, signing, loading, or removal of material constitutes acknowledgment that the material has been fulfilled to Customer or Customer’s authorized representative, and that Customer is generally responsible for the material from that point forward.

Customer’s authorized representative may include any fabricator, installer, contractor, designer, builder, receiver, driver, carrier, employee, agent, pickup party, freight company, warehouse, slab gallery, supplier, distributor, or other person or entity acting on Customer’s behalf. Any signature, release, pickup, loading, removal, email approval, text approval, photo approval, video approval, or acceptance by Customer or Customer’s representative constitutes Customer acceptance.

After pickup, release, signing, loading, removal, or acceptance, Zicana Boutique is not responsible for damage, loss, theft, breakage, improper loading, improper securing, improper transport, improper unloading, improper storage, fabrication issues, installation issues, labor costs, replacement costs, delays, project interruption, or claims caused by Customer or Customer’s representative.

18. Customer Arranged Freight

If Customer arranges freight, pickup, transportation, courier service, third party carrier, fabricator pickup, installer pickup, contractor pickup, customer truck, or any non Zicana Boutique arranged delivery, Zicana Boutique is not responsible for damage, loss, breakage, delay, improper handling, loading, unloading, securing, storage, transportation, delivery, or carrier claims after the material is released, signed for, loaded, or picked up.

Customer is responsible for ensuring that the selected carrier, driver, pickup party, fabricator, installer, contractor, or receiver is qualified, insured, equipped, authorized, and capable of safely handling the material.

19. Refused, Missed, Failed, or Changed Delivery

If Customer or Customer’s receiving party refuses delivery, misses a delivery appointment, fails to provide access, fails to provide unloading equipment, fails to provide an authorized receiver, provides an incorrect address, changes the delivery address after release, is unavailable, or otherwise prevents successful delivery, Customer is responsible for all resulting costs, including redelivery fees, waiting time, storage fees, carrier charges, reconsignment charges, return freight, handling charges, additional labor charges, and administrative costs.

20. Storage, Delayed Pickup, and Unclaimed Material

If material is available for pickup, delivery, release, or shipment and Customer fails to schedule, receive, accept, pay for, or retrieve the material within the required time, Zicana Boutique may charge storage fees, warehouse fees, supplier storage fees, carrier fees, demurrage, handling charges, and administrative costs.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Zicana Boutique may store fully paid merchandise without storage fees for up to 30 days after written notice that the order is available for pickup, release, delivery, or shipment. After that period, Zicana Boutique may charge storage fees of up to 100 dollars per slab, pallet, crate, bundle, or order per month, or any greater amount charged by a supplier, distributor, warehouse, carrier, or third party storage location.

If material remains unpaid, unclaimed, refused, unscheduled, or unavailable for delivery after written notice, Zicana Boutique may deem the order abandoned to the fullest extent permitted by law. For abandoned material, Zicana Boutique may retain payments already made, recover storage and enforcement costs, resell the material, dispose of the material, or otherwise handle the material without further liability.

21. Returns, Refunds, and Shipping Charges

This Policy does not replace Zicana Boutique’s Refund Policy or Terms of Service and Terms of Sale.

Shipping, processing, handling, delivery, freight, crating, transfer, storage, and related logistics charges are generally nonrefundable. Approved returns, cancellations, exchanges, refunds, credits, or adjustments may be reduced by shipping charges, return freight, carrier charges, restocking fees, merchant processing fees where recoverable, storage charges, supplier charges, distributor charges, crating charges, handling charges, and other costs already incurred.

Special order material, custom order material, made to order material, reserved material, allocated material, procured material, transferred material, supplier sourced material, distributor sourced material, approved slab selections, customer selected material, fabricated material, cut material, modified material, refinished material, bundled material, nonstock material, discontinued material, final sale material, material picked up by Customer or Customer’s representative, material released to a fabricator, installer, contractor, distributor, supplier, warehouse, slab gallery, freight terminal, or third party carrier, and material prepared specifically for Customer are noncancelable, nonreturnable, nonexchangeable, and nonrefundable unless Zicana Boutique expressly approves otherwise in writing.

22. No Claims After Installation, Cutting, Fabrication, Modification, or Use

Installation, cutting, fabrication, modification, sealing, transport from pickup location, removal from warehouse, removal from supplier, removal from distributor, removal from freight terminal, or use of material constitutes full and final acceptance.

No shipping claim, delivery claim, shortage claim, damage claim, product claim, return claim, refund claim, credit claim, or adjustment claim may be made after installation, cutting, fabrication, modification, sealing, transport from pickup location, removal from warehouse, removal from supplier, removal from distributor, removal from freight terminal, or use of material.

23. Customer Acknowledgment

By placing an order, approving a quote, submitting payment, arranging pickup, authorizing release, accepting delivery, signing a pickup document, signing a delivery receipt, signing a bill of lading, receiving material, or otherwise proceeding with a transaction, Customer confirms that Customer has reviewed and agrees to this Shipping, Processing, and Pickup Policy, Zicana Boutique’s Terms of Service and Terms of Sale, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, pickup instructions, release documents, delivery documents, and all applicable transaction documents.

Customer further acknowledges that once material is received, released, signed for, loaded, removed, picked up, delivered, or accepted by Customer or Customer’s authorized representative, Customer is generally responsible for acknowledging fulfillment, inspecting the material, preserving any claim rights through proper written documentation, and taking responsibility for the material from that point forward, subject only to any written exception expressly approved by Zicana Boutique.
